UNIVERSAL SPIRIT Guiding Statement:

When I am working in the studio, I do my best to put everything to good use, even the scraps. I decided to start dying/painting/staining these leftover pieces with the intention of working them into a piece of art. I finally used my sewing machine (harder than it looks) and brought the pieces together into one coherent whole to be stretched on a frame.

I am titling this series “UNIVERSAL SPIRIT” as each of the paintings that come together will be named after the universal ideals of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. We all can find ways to grow toward these, and my hope is that each one of these pieces serves as a meditation and reminder to pursue them.
